3rd Grade Research Investigation Project: Seashore
Seashore Decision
Seashore animals don't all live in the same place. Some need
deep water, some like the rocky shore. If you were a seashore animal you would best survive in one certain tidal
zone.
Project Scenario
You have been reading a "Magic School Bus" story. You
fall asleep and when you wake up, you discover that you are under the water near the rocky seashore!
A giant crab comes up to you and your partner and tells you that if you want to survive in this habitat, you will
have to become a tidal zone animal.
The choice is up to you. Your job is to find out which
tidal zone animal you would rather be.
You have already studied about the four tidal zones. Look at the chart. Intertidal Zone
You and your partner must decide which sea animal you would like to be.
Essential Question: How does which tidal zone and the supply of food and protection in tha zone determine on how you will survive.
Gather information to find out:
What will your life be like? What will you eat? What kind of environment do you need to survive? Use the links below to gather your information. Use PowerPoint to publish your
