Threatened/Endangered Species

A true defender of wildlife knows all the facts. The earth needs dedicated, caring people like you who are knowledgeable about environmental problems and possible solutions. So learn and read and do all you can!

Essential Question: How do people and their actions affect the lives of other living creatures on our earth?

Project Scenario: Imagine that you and your partner are scientist trying to save some of the endangered and threatened species of our earth. You are researching information on threatened/endangered species.

Your Assignment: As a naturalist, your job is to choose which threatened/endangered specie should be saved. They are all important species that live in different parts of the world. Each specie is special. However, only one specie can be saved at this time. You need to look at what makes your specie important and give reasons for why you chose that specie In the end, you will need to convince other naturalists of your choice.

Steps for this Project Your job with your partner is to research the life of a threatened/endangered specie. Help convience others that you specie is important and should be saved. Show your audience how they can help and to know that their actions affect the survival of these great creatures and how each of them can make a difference.You will be in a team. Each Team will research a different threatened/endangered specie. To help you research use WorldBook and the Internet sites set by your teacher. You will use PowerPoint to present your findings and argument for its survival.
