How Do I Find A Book? As you look around the library, you'll see that the shelf fronts have labels that that tell us where the books are placed. Think of this as the book's address. The labels match the call numbers on the spines of our books, just like your house number or apartment number tells where you live.
First you'll see either a number- - - or a letter. If it's a number you are in the non-fiction section for sure! If it's a letter you could be in any one of our other sections:
F means Fiction (Chapter books)
E means Everybody Reads (these are Picture books) E with a red dot means Easy Reading or "I Can Read"
000-999 means Non-fiction
B means Biography
SC means Story Collection
PB means Paperback
Look for the "Book Series" & "I Can Read" sections
Finding a book is as easy as ABC. All of our books are arranged in alphabetical order by the first two letters of the Author's last name. Just look at the label that has the letter of the author you are looking for. Look at the shelves of books and find the title you are searching for. Happy hunting!
